Description
Fishing in the Cherkasy region takes on new dimensions thanks to the wonderful Irklii lake. This natural reservoir, located in the Chigyryna district of the village of Vershatsy, attracts the attention of fishermen with its diversity and huge area of 24.5 hectares. Located only 65 kilometers from the regional center of the city of Cherkasy, this place has become a favorite place for fishing enthusiasts.
Lake "Irklii" was created in 1953 thanks to the construction of a retaining dam on the Irklii River, which is a right tributary of the Tyasmin River, and the latter, in turn, is a right tributary of the Dnipro River. With a catchment area of 142 square kilometers and a river length of 26.1 kilometers from the source to the reservoir dam, the lake boasts an average width of 250 meters and a length of 800 meters. The depth of the lake varies from 1.8 to 2.5 meters, and reeds partially grow on its banks, creating natural shelters for fish.
Lake "Irklii" is accessible to fishermen even in dry weather, but in rainy weather caution is advised due to extreme conditions at the entrances. The nearest paved road to the lake is only 800 meters away, which makes it easy to get to it.
On the area of almost 25 hectares of Lake Irklii, fishermen will be able to enjoy their catch. The stocking of the reservoir includes fish species such as commercial carp weighing 1.5 to 3 kilograms, trophy carp weighing 4 to 18 kilograms, as well as a variety of predatory species, including pike, perch, zander and catfish. In addition, the lake is home to such cultural species of fish as white grass carp, crucian carp, and estuarine crucian carp.
Lake "Irklii" is an ideal place for paid amateur and sport fishing. Here you can enjoy unique moments in nature and do your favorite thing.
